Altus motors programmed using a Somfy remote control. Standard LT 50 motors integrated into a Crestron system for boardrooms and meeting rooms.

1600 External Venetian Blinds with J4WT motors, controlled with 4 animeo Solo were installed for more visual comfort and energy-savings.

The solution provided by Somfy was a KNX system which runs over IP. The system included sun tracking and shadow control, as well as solar radiation sensors which control the activation of sun tracking and shadow management. The system has a great deal of control logic, including a 30-minute blind override option if certain external thresholds are met.

Sonesse 30 RS485 was specified due to the capabilities of the unit,  including bidirectional control, precise alignment and speed regulation. 

A set of n.137 Sonesse 30 RS485 running on a KNX network was supplied. Somfy also delivered the installation, integration  and commissioning services for the control package.

Sonesse® 50 with Radio Technology Somfy was the solution selected. Provides the owner/operator with the opportunity to use the latest technology, as well as specific advice regarding tailored centralized solutions.

Somfy introduced centralized controls for each facade and floor. To guarantee the efficiency of the external awnings, 8 sun sensors and 1 wind sensor were installed. With Somfy animeo IB+ Premium, a sun-tracking function is implemented as standard.

Somfy Animeo IB+ premium solution control over 200 motorized exterior venetian blinds in 8 zones. Automated control is provided through the exterior weather  station with anmieo software operation 2.2.

Internal roller blinds were equipped with Somfy motors. They are connected to a LonMark bus network via LON interfaces for the centralized control of blinds, cooling systems and heating systems.

The Somfy animeo IB+ Premium system was proposed in order to allow the automation of the blinds, which move according to the position of the sun.

Somfy’s animeo AC and DC motor controller solution was proposed, together with an anemometer and sun sensors, two building controllers to manage the building’s 16 zones, and animeo IB+ Premium supervision software.

Interior curtains installed at the request of the architect are controlled by a animeo IB + Premium Motor Controller, Building Controller, light sensors and animeo Operating Software. With this application you get the automatic management of the curtains taking into account the solar radiation. Improve efficiency of HVAC and lighting comfort avoiding glare. With the solution applied "time management" also during holiday periods and weekends.

The external roller blinds on the terraces are motorized with Somfy motors and automated. This automated solar protection system provides the building with a wide range of applications, such as an immediate response to changing weather conditions through sun sensors, and the simultaneous opening and closing of all curtains at a scheduled time.

A Somfy animeo IB+ Premium solution controls over 1,200 motorized internal blinds in 10 zones across the facade of the building. Users have local switch points connected directly to the Somfy animeo motor controllers. Automated control is provided through sun sensors, timers and building resets.

The Somfy animeo IB+ Premium solution was adapted perfectly to the owner’s needs. The rain, wind (speed and direction) and temperature sensors installed on the roof ensure the blinds are protected in the event of bad weather.

The sun protection technology at the National Library in Leipzig is a component of a complete control system which combines elements of the building (heating, cooling, natural and artificial light, ventilation and shading) with a KNX bus. Thanks to this combination, the requirements of maximum energy savings and occupant comfort are assured.

Sunscreens are controlled via animeo IB + solution. A weather station on the roof of the elevator shaft in the historic building is equipped with rain, wind and sun sensors.
